Mouni Roy recalls facing severe health issues before doing Naagin!
One of the most adored actors in the industry, Mouni Roy, never fail to astound us with her performances. The actor became well-known after starring in the popular fantasy television series Naagin, created by Ektaa Kapoor.
 
Mouni Roy recently made an appearance on a media channel, where she discussed a variety of topics including her family, her life before being an actor, her career accomplishments, her plans for the future, and her personal life. The actress disclosed during this conversation how bad her health had been before she went on to her breakthrough series, Naagin.
 
Speaking back to her days prior to joining Naagin, Mouni Roy disclosed, "Before Naagin began, I was in a phase where I thought my life was over. It's not that grim, grave, or sad. I was just severely unwell. I finished Jhalak Dikhhla Jaa 9 and I had L4-L5 complete slipped degeneration and scoliosis on my spine, couldn't stand straight."
 
Regarding the difficult time, the actress revealed, "I had put on, I don't know how many kgs. It wasn't in a good way because I was on some 30 pills a day and injections sometimes. I had taken epidural in my spine. It was a very very bad time. I was bedridden for about 3 months and this is when I got a call for Naagin."
 
Mouni said that she was hesitant to sign Naagin because she had previously worked on the mythological series Devon Ke Dev... Mahadev. Speaking about it, she stated, "I had already done Mahadev by then so I was like maybe I shouldn't be doing another fantasy fiction."
 
Naagin, which starred opposite Arjun Bijlani, was a hugely popular fantasy television series. From 2015 to 2016, Mouni and Arjun starred in the first season of Naagin. as July 2023, the sixth season of Naagin, which featured Tejasswi Prakash as the title role, came to an end.
