Mani Ratnam is my mentor, says Aishwarya Rai Bachchan! Tue October 15th, 2019

Bollywood star Aishwarya Rai Bachchan who will feature in the forthcoming movie titled Ponniyin Selvan that working with Mani Ratnam is always a pleasant experience. Aishwarya also added that Mani Ratnam is her mentor and she has always enjoyed working with him since she ventured into movies.

Actress Aishwarya Rai-Bachchan, who has worked in Mani Ratnam films such as "Guru" and "Raavan", says that the veteran filmmaker is her guru, and that the decision to work with him is always an easy yes for her.

"Mani Ratnam is my Guru. He is probably one of the most amazing and brilliant directors of our country. I have had the privilege, honour and joy of working with him in the beginning of my career, and several times through it. So it was an easy yes for me to work with that kind of cinema brilliance and the character itself," she revealed, while interacting with the media source.

Aishwarya was attending an event and was questioned about the movie Ponniyin Selvan. The forthcoming movie Ponniyin Selvan is based on Kalki Krishnamurthy’s of the same title. The fans and film audience were really happy when the news broke that Aishwarya Rai Bachchan will be doing a movie with director Mani Ratnam.

As per latest reports on Ponniyin Selvan, Aishwarya will play a double role in the Tamil movie. The film, Ponniyin Selvan will be the fourth collaboration between director Mani Ratnam and striking diva Aishwarya Rai Bachchan after movies like Iruvar, Guru and Raavan.
